To be insightful means to intuitively grasp things - an "aha!" moment!

About Me

My photo
I am a member of the church of Christ. I have been writing things since I was little. Some have been printed, some posted. I write to teach or encourage; to blow off steam; and for fun! I had my own motorcycle in my 40s; I was a bluegrass music DJ for about 13 years; I've performed some. I am a member of the NRA. In 2003 (age 59), I became high partial legally blind; in 2005, I had to get hearing aids! Franklin Field said: "Poor eyes limit your sight; poor vision limits your deeds". And no kidding, the picture was made April, 2012!

AMAZING!

We're all amazing. We're all unique.
God gave us all talents. We pray and we seek.

You may have a smile, and greet at the door.
Another says good things to someone who's heartsore.

I don't like to cook, but a salad I'll toss.
One cheers someone one - lets another be boss.

... or you're a good driver and visit the sick.
Another writes notes to encourage the weak.

Some things would be lacking if we all did the same.
God gives us all talents and calls us by name.

If all taught just English, then who'd teach the math?
We're happiest following our God-given path.

Your path of service is not the same as mine.
Figuring our strengths and talents often takes time.

Yes, we're each amazing, unique in some way.
That's just how God made us for Himself every day!

It's a glorious feeling that God gives us all things -
so that we can help others to soar on eagles' wings.

- by Netagene, August 6, 2012 - Recently a friend loaned me a book: "You're ALREADY Amazing!" by Holley Gerth, a religious writer and family counselor. I liked it so well that I bought a copy for myself, then I also suggested it and another book ("Bad Girls of the Bible" by Liz Curtis Higgs) for a ladies' Bible class I go to at a friend's house on Tuesday mornings. "You're ALREADY Amazing!" was chosen to study. We'll discuss the first lesson tomorrow.
